It is the most intact Edwardian period public garden in Victoria, Footscray Park is considered to have historic, aesthetic, scientific (horticultural) and social significance. With views across the Maribyrnong River to Flemington Racecourse. Facilities include play grounds, large open spaces, BBQs, an outdoor stage, disabled public toilets and landscaped ponds that are popular for wedding photos.
